HyprStart is a skilled-trades matching service that connects candidates with employers who are hiring, including apprenticeship programs that take on and pay apprentices. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
When you apply, we collect the information you provide: name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, trade and specialty, experience, availability, and your stated goals, plus any documents you choose to upload (such as a résumé or certification). We also record whether you consented to receive text messages.
We do not collect Social Security numbers or government ID numbers.
When we find an employer who could be a fit, we first share a masked profile: your trade, experience level, time in the trade, general area, and certifications. It does not include your name, phone number, or email.
An employer only sees your name and contact details after they accept our placement terms and verify a payment method. If you have set your profile to review each request, we also need your approval before anything is released. We share only what is needed to make the introduction, and only with the specific employers you are matched to.
We also use service providers (for example, hosting, email, SMS, file storage, and product analytics) who process data on our behalf.
We use a product-analytics provider (PostHog) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. It records usage events and device/browser information using local browser storage; we do not send your name, phone number, or email to it. This helps us see, for example, where people get stuck in the application, not who they are.
We do not sell your personal information.
We send SMS only if you opt in. You can stop at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. We do not sell mobile numbers, and your mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Message frequency: varies with your application activity — generally up to about 15 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. See our SMS Consent page for full details.
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to access, update, or delete your information at any time by contacting us.
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
